Pocket & Lapel Sizes

THE SIZE OF YOUR OUTER BREAST POCKET MATTERS.

The width and length of your suit or jacket outer breast pocket will determine the size of your Royalchif. The width of your lapel could cover part of the jeweled cap portion of your Royalchif ornament.  The amount of jeweled cap exposure above and outside of the pocket will also determine the length of your Royalchif. Having a set of Royachif jeweled caps allow variable jewel placements that will ensure the best stones are in open view and not hidden by your lapel as seen below.

There is no set standard for the inside width of a breast pocket. Tailors all give slight variations which (slightly) affects the way you used to fold or place a fabric pocket square. The width of your pocket will affect the size and visibility of your Royalchif. With some dinner jackets, there is a very narrow inside breast pocket even though they look wider from the outside. Inside widths typically vary around 4 inches/10.2 centimeters for a coat and jacket outer breast pocket.

For a smaller man, the width of the outer breast pocket on a coat and a jacket should be 3-3.5 inches/7.6-8.9 centimeters. For a larger man, the width of the outer breast pocket on a coat and a jacket should be 4.5-5 inches/11.4-12.7 centimeters.

Current pocket square fold designs can now be fabricated in precious metal and embellished with jewels.
